The Slouch™ Double Face Coat - Recycled Wool

I have this coat in 3 colors. It drapes beautifully and has the perfect fit. Easy to layer. I chose the same size as I wear in the wool and camel versions of the slouch coat. Highly recommended

This coat is exactly what the description says. It’s light and soft and perfect for milder winter days or crisp fall evenings. I’ve never tried a Slouch coat until now, and boy have I been missing out. It’s absolutely beautiful and the fit is as intended with your normal size.

I read some of the negative reviews and felt I had to defend this coat—it’s clear that a few people didn’t fully understand what they were buying. This is not a winter coat for sub-zero temperatures, so it’s not meant to keep you warm in -10°C weather. Instead, it’s the perfect choice for those cool, crisp fall days when you want to stay cozy without overheating. The fit is flattering, hugging your silhouette without looking boxy, making it a chic addition to any wardrobe. I wore it on a trip to Paris, and it was ideal for layering with a scarf. The fabric flows beautifully and feels luxurious. If you’re looking for something light and stylish for mild weather, this coat is perfect. Anyone expecting it to withstand Canadian winters probably misunderstood its purpose!

These other reviews don't reflect the experience that I've had with this coat. I bought it in person last winter after seeing it on a mannequin and literally gasping, it was so beautiful. I still feel it is the most beautiful purchase I've ever made from aritzia, after growing up in vancouver and shopping at the original Hills. The nomad taupe color is so so special and goes with both warm and cool ensembles, and the wool soft and stunning to the eye and touch. It is certainly a thin coat as wool overcoats go, and the front chest area is wide open, but it's still perfect for throwing on/dressing up in the shoulder seasons. My dimensions are 34-27-34, and I typically wear XS-S in Babaton, but I purchased the 2XS in this coat and it is perfect worn open or buttoned up with a scarf and beanie. I do not know how the other buyer experienced any wrinkles without cleaning it against care recommendations, when it's a substantial thickness double-faced wool.

Love the color, love the shape of the lined slouch, so I ordered this one as I live in LA. I imagined the weight and quality of the material would be similar to the unlined Stedman coat, which is beautiful. It was not. Very thin, flimsy looking, it’s not a coat, it’s not a sweater. I really wish the material was twice the weight so it draped well. Sadly returning.
