the powder parka™

Was honestly so pleasantly surprised by this jacket. I've had in the past a north face parka and it wasn't keeping me warm enough. This jacket not only keeps me so warm but the design is so simple and goes with everything. I can wear this on walks, to work, everywhere. Absolutely love it and would highly recommend. The merino wool cuffs are an added bonus, they are so good. It sits perfectly on the body, not tight, not overly puffy. Just right, no matter what you wear underneath it doesn't change the fit.

Good quality and very warm, zipper can be a little tricky at the bottom, fits slightly small.

The quality feels amazing, a bit heavier and more rigid, but very warm. The double zipper allows you to adjust when you’re sitting if you need to. I love the magnet buttons.

Just by feeling this coat you can tell the quality is great. I wore this coat today in -20 degree weather and felt warm, even with the wind! I love the inside straps and the faux fur collar to cover the neck/nicer look. Also love the magnetic buttons for easy put on and take off.

The one downside is that this coat is a bit heavier, but again for how warm it keeps me from the cold and wind I don’t mind.

I get a L in all my coats because I like to fit a sweater under, and a bit of a looser fit plus length, so it was true to size based on that.

This coat is nice, though the pockets feel a little flimsy, the backing materials feels thin. It would be awesome if you brought back the Bancroft! It was sturdy and long lasting, with warmth and a beautiful silhouette. I’m not sure why that one left, it was great for Canadian winters. It almost felt a little tougher than this one. I’m not sure if I was the only one who got one of these coats with a funky zipper, but the zipper on the Bancroft seems to have been better! Please also add zippers to pockets!
Note: fit isn’t small, I just couldn’t change that to true to size.

I exchanged for a size smaller. But overall these jackets are great quality and last for years. My last TNA lasted almost 10 years for me. Love the colour!

Coat is not durable . Tiny holes appear at the wrist area where fabric folds. This occurred after 1 winter of wearing. I noticed it the next winter season.

This is an absolutely beautiful jacket. Extremely warm, gorgeous finishes. Very flattering silhouette. The only drawback, IMO, is that it is heavy. This is not a powder light coat. So I won't be power walking in it.

Good quality very warm. But the coat hood is ridiculously too small.
I bought the same model a few years ago and hood was a decent size! I would like hair and my head to fit into the hood at the same time. Disappointed.

This would a beautiful jacket if only the design was better. I ordered the modern taupe which is pretty versatile. I usually need a small in outerwear but needed to size down in this model. The xs was just right. Here are my likes: fit (it actually gives a decent hourglass silhouette without being constricting), colour, magnetic plackets, warmth and performance (rainproof is non negotiable for me in Vancouver). Here are my gripes: the medium length needs to be 1-2 inches so it can hit right above the knee (I’m just over 5-6 tall), for this price the inside pocket should have a placket over the zipper and the outside side pockets should absolutely have zippers for additional security of valuable items, the lining of the hood could use a shearling finish for extra coziness, the cuffs should have thumb holes, and the faux fur quality feels cheap compared to the Summit model.

I have this in white birch. It’s so beautiful when brand new, although looked too dirty to wear after one season, it is impossible to get clean once dirty from just regular everyday winter wear. I followed all the washing instructions, tried dry cleaning it, and spot cleaning by hand with a variety of stain removers - impossible. I love the coat in every other way in terms of the fit and warmth. If you’re hoping the coat looks nice for more than 4 months, I suggest choosing a dark colour.

I ordered online, once received it was one size too big. Exchanged for a small - it’s amazing!

Very warm but pretty heavy. If I have to order again, i might go for the Super Puff only because of the weight of this parka. But if you are looking for a heavy duty parka for bitter winters then this is absolutely worth a try.

This coat definitely will keep you warm and looking cute. I just took the fur off because I don't prefer the look. It is a heavy jacket though and doesn't fit the best over thick sweaters, so it isn't my go-to jacket for everyday.

In my opinion is you can find a much better coat for the price!! The coat weighs a ton, the fabric is noisy, and the fur looks cheap. It literally went right back in the box to be returned.

Overall jacket is really nice, however the zipper isn’t the greatest. I thought maybe because it’s new it needs to be worked in, but that’s not the case. Jacket does keep you super warm

This is my first time purchasing a Parka from Aritzia. I saw the sale and I new I had to snatch it up before it was gone. The Parka is pretty heavy but warm. The odd thing about it though is that the arms aren’t as warm as the body of the jacket which is weird. Overall it kept me warm in -40 weather so I am happy with the purchase!

This is a great winter coat, kept me warm in 0 degree weather this past weekend. Comfortable, love the color, zero complaints. Highly recommend! I read reviews that it is heavy, I don't think its that heavy, at least nothing I noticed.

Warm winter parka and good quality! I originally purchased an XL but exchanged it for a L as the fit was much better in the body.

Heard abt this brand thru my friend and was in the market for a new winter jacket. Found this in the taupe color and its so beautiful! I got size XS as i am 5’1 and abt 120-123 lbs, for reference. This coat is beautifully made. It has magnetic buttons and zipper. The fur on the hood is removable. Its waterproof material. Comes with 2 straps inside for easier hanging, carrying, etc. sleeve has a nice knit snug wrist sleeve to keep wind from getting into coat. I literally feel so warm in this by the time i get indoors i am sweating! So happy with purchase and customer service

Just in time when this online order arrived (quick delivery), when the Alberta temperatures went down to almost -50 plus windchill, this Parka helped me a lot for my daily commute during those frigid temperatures. It does what it says in the description.Warm and comfortable jacket especially for worst weather condition. I have 5 jackets from Aritzia (with different temperature coverage or warmth)and they are all worth the price because of the excellent quality and looks.Love them all.

Fit is perfect, very warm, and great quality! My only issue is the main zipper tends to get caught.

I went with a BIOME GREEN colour of this jacket (because of the price :D) and it is actually beautiful, fashionable and of excellent quality. TNA knowns how to do jackets for brutal Canadian winters (in fact, much better than it's competition). It fits a bit looser than I expected but that is not a bad thing. The sleeves are long, the fur is luxurious and removability is a plus! Overall, a great purchase that I am very happy with. The zipper looks heavy-duty and strong.

Love the biome green colour, very unique from the usual blacks, greys and blues in winter. The parka is very warm. I wish it had a few more zippered pockets (only two side pockets with magnetic closure and one zippered inner pocket). Overall, really happy with the quality. It is on the heavier side though but doesn’t bother me at all.

This parka is well designed and has some great features. The hood cocoons your head and keeps you warm. I also like the large zipper and magnetic closures. However, the parka is heavy and does not fold up as easily as others.

The first warm winter coat that I have found that is not a sausage casing! Roomy enough inside for sweaters, yet not oversized, which just adds bulk to my frame. The four star rating reflects the quality of the faux fur hood trim which I exchanged for one less matted.

I bought this parka last year. At that time I was pregnant I felt like this parka was super heavy. I didnt write a comment because I don't want to be biased. This winter I wore it again, eventhough I am not pregnant this year,I still think this parka is very heavy. materials are thick, I bought black color. the color is not truly black if you look at it under the sun. I don't think I would recommend it to someone who is looking for winter parka and want to spend over 300 dollar. and its not warm. it just kept my body temperature.

I absolutely adore how warm this keeps me in the cold Boston winter. Only reason i score it 4/5 is i did not realize there is no way to wear it unzipped? I have to put it on by getting into it, which is a bit disappointing.

I bought the L then returned for the medium. I then returned the Medium. It’s too stiff. I like short jacket.

Love the fit, the large is a loose fit on me, 5’3 & 1/2”. (I’m a large regardless) but this jacket can fit sweatshirts/hoodies in.
Great arm length, and the lightest shell I’ve ever owned!
Great for -10, wind proof and easy to put into the pouch.

I have had this parka in black for about a year now. I am disappointed because it’s loosing its color in certain areas of the coat. Don’t waste your money buying this product.

I think that the parka is too heavy. I could barely move. Returned it and changed fir the super puff

I was choosing between this coat and the Powder DRI, and ended up going with the Powder DRI. Wanted to leave my thoughts for those pondering the same decision! The two coats look almost identical, but the Powder DRI is much, MUCH lighter than the Powder Parka (while being just as warm), and that ended up being worth the price difference for me. A few other smaller differences: the Powder DRI has thumbholes at the wrists, while the Powder Parka does not. And, the Powder Parka has much better pockets, in my opinion--they are open and roomier, while the Powder DRI has zippers (not my preference) and are pretty small. And, of course, the Powder DRI does not have the removable fur hood.

Bottom line: this coat is very heavy. To the point where it was worth $$$ to get the lighter option.
