the new stedman coat

Love love love this coat! It’s structured so well and hits me right at my shoulders, giving it a tailored look. And for reference I’m 5’3” and the coat stops right around my calves.

Looks amazing. I purchased the grey/white herringbone and it is a gorgeous fabric. I’m larger through shoulders than bottom and it’s a great fit. Dress it up or dress it down. Great classic to have.

I saw the cream version from a girl on YouTube and fell in love. Unfortunately it was sold out but it popped up one night and I snagged it right away. I usually am a 2 or M in the slouch coats but ordered a small based on the reviews saying it fits larger. It fits me ok, however, if I were to wear something bulky inside i may not be able to button it up. I think I could have either gone for a small or medium and would have worked for me.

I tried on all three Babaton coats that came in herringbone - this, the New Slouch, and the Constant. The Constant just wasn't my style at the moment. The New Slouch was almost comically oversized on me, even in a S (I am typically an M). This one fit perfectly - and at my height (average), I thought the length was great. I really like the herringbone material, it seems to be of a high quality.

Beautiful coat. I am always a Medium but got a size Small in this coat because I wanted a more fitted look. I am very happy with it.

Love it all — the button, the pattern, the colour, the style. I find the arms short on most Aritzia coats and this one is no different, but it’s not noticeable. I know I will get lots if wears out of it. I am in between a M and L (wide hips) and chose the M for a cleaner fit.

I absolutely love my new coat. Im 5’9, 130lbs with 32DD bust and ordered a size xs. The arms are long and it’s structured in the shoulders (which i find gives a flattering shape) There is room enough to wear a sweater underneath and I find it pretty warm for Canadian weathers. I tried the slouch but for my height and weight, i preferred the stedman

Originally bought in xs but had to return for xxs. Fits really well. Stylish oversized fit and beautiful fabric.

I’m in love! I didn’t think this style of coat was for me, having tried on the Slouch and Only coats previously, which for the record looked so incredibly frumpy and excessively oversized. The herringbone pattern really elevates the tailoring and aesthetic of the coat. I don’t find that it overwhelms my frame at all (US 8/10, 5’2”, 36D, size 30 denim). The size small fit me in a more “tailored” way, slightly more form-fitting. I ended up going with a medium for a perfectly layerable, oversized fit. Highly recommend!

I love it. Fits beautifully. Roomy and allows for bigger sweaters underneath

I’m 5’2” and own a number of wool coats from Aritzia, so I was excited to add this one to the collection as well as I loved the pattern and style of this coat. However, even in the XXS I felt like I was swimming in this coat. Incredibly shapeless around the waist and way too large in the shoulders. Felt like I was playing dress up in my dad’s coats.

Tried this coat in store and it was a great wool coat. It looks really good on me and the xxs size fits me well on the shoulder and chest area. Only thing was it was too long!! FYI I’m 5’1 . Please please have a short version for the Stedman coat, I absolutely love it and wanted to add it to my closet.

Warm and cozy for fall

The coat is a nice weight and the fabric is surprisingly nice but it is not meant for petite people. The cut is too oversized and not in a cute way at all. Maybe make petite coats and option?
