Wasn't super impressed by these guys! Was hoping they would relax, based on some reviews I'd seen, but they only relaxed in the waist. Keep looking if you're a size 29.

I have a 31 inch waist, but 44in hips and large quads (bodybuilding) and I find non-stretch denim to be evil. I read the reviews saying to size down 2 sizes and my regular size in denim with stretch is 30-31 so I figured getting the 31 would fit fine since people said it was so large. It was still kind of tight on top of my legs (but I got them up!!) and the front of the waist lies flat and looks great, but I have about 3 inches of gaping space in my back. They've relaxed with wear, but I have to belt them

This is the perfect short for a relaxed look. I have a hard time finding shorts that fit my curves. I have large hips and a small waist, but these fit pretty nicely.

I have been searching for the perfect denim shorts for years. I always wanted that super cool/laid back "Sincerely Jules" fit. I have tried on countless pairs of denim shorts to find these including Levi's- nothing seemed to work. But let me tell you, these are IT. I bought them in Dive Bar and Black Eyeliner. They are comfortable around the waist and a bit looser around the leg (I could have sized down, but I wanted this laid back/looser look). They are perfect- dress them down during the day and dress them up for a night out. I am so happy with my purchase and I can't recommend them enough! I love this brand so much I bought a pair of straight leg denim as well!! Buy them! You won't regret it!

These are exactly what I was looking for. They fit big, so size down or keep your regular size if you want them is big looser.

The waist is a tad big, however the length and weight makes it a perfect summer staple. The raw edge is a bit more distressed than I was just expecting and it’s def short — I’m approx 5’ and even the 23” is pretty short on me so just be aware!

Bought these shorts online without trying them on so was a bit nervous, but based on previous reviews, knew to expect them slightly larger in their fit. I bought my usual denim size as this was what I was going for. I love these shorts. They are the perfect length for someone like me who has a butt. They fully cover me but are still nice and short. Really comfortable but certainly did stretch out with wear in the waist and are a bit loose here now.

I love these shorts. I’m tall, and they’re not too short for me; however, they are huge. The sizing is way off. I’m normally a 27-28, ordered a 26 based on the reviewers who said these were large, and the size 26 is still way too big. I should’ve gone with size 25, but I KNOW that I have never been, nor am I currently a size 25. At least not since I was 13 years old. Aritzia - adjust your sizing, please! The shorts can still be a baggy / boyfriend fit and have the correct waist size.

It is bigger on waist and crunches up on the bottom of the pants Although they do look great and would definitely buy another pair.

I have them in two colors and the blue jean color is a bit tighter than the black but the 27 worked for both! So comfortable and great for anyone who runs into issues with the waist being the right size but the legs being too slim!

Comparable to the Agolde Parker shorts (which are my fav) for slightly less money. Legs are a bit slimmer than the Agolde's but overall they are similar.

These are my favourite shorts I’ve ever owned. They are a flattering length and looser fit. Been looking for shorts that fit like this for years and these are the best I’ve ever found. Highly recommend. Only warning is the denim doesn’t have any stretch!

I am a size 30 in the denim forums jeans. I ordered a 30 and 29 in these shorts and both were way too big.
I ordered a 28 and they were a little tight around the waist. I wore them around the house for about two hours and the denim began to give and stretch, making them a comfortable fit. Great shorts, but confusing sizing. Do not give up on them, try ordering a size or two down and seeing if they will give the right amount.

I absolutely love these. They are so comfy and I’m a sweatpant kinda gal.

They do fit larger, I’m usually a size 26/27. I purchased a size 25 in the shorts for a baggier fit, and also bought them in a different colour in 24. Both are comfortable, but the 24’s prob fit my body better.

They run quite, I ordered my normal size but easily could have gone down a size or two, I don’t mind tho! Nothing a belt can’t fix

Everybody said to size up so I ordered my usual size (27) and one size smaller. The 26 was too small so I kept the 27. Personally, I would not recommend sizing up, just stick to your original size. I am usually a 27/28, 5’7 and 140 lbs. The length is perfect. Comparable to agolde shorts.

I should have sized down however these shorts are still really great. They dont have stretch but they do loosen up as you wear them. Super comfortable and the colour is great.

I am 5'3, 123lbs and usually order an extra small/26inch waist. I ordered the 26 in these and at first they fit perfect! Then, after a day of wear, they stretched quite a bit from their original form - making it extremely loose around my waist and sitting low on my hips. They remind me of Levi's in the sense that you want to size down and stretch them in if you're looking for a something moderately tight without having to wear a belt.

I've been on a mission to find THE perfect denim shorts and these are it. I've ordered and returned so many different pairs from different brands and have finally found ones that I love. These are a comfortable, relaxed fit and I love how they can be dressed up or down. They do run large - I originally ordered 26 and had to send them back for a 25. I actually still have room in the 25 but it's the look I'm going for. For reference, I take a 26 in Levi's 501 shorts (if that helps!). I ordered two different washes in these because I know I'll be wearing them for the rest of the summer!

sized down, they're still a bit oversized and I could have done a 24, but I felt the 25 gave more of a "boyfriend" fit. so you can size down a size or two depending on what you are looking for

Purchased these as an everyday summer essential and was not disappointed. Read the reviews prior to purchasing and decided to stick with my usual size in Denim Forum because I wanted a comfortable looser fit. Loved them so much I purchased them in a second colour.

I live in these! They are such a great length! I have thick thighs, it’s hard to find shorts that fit. These are perfect! I stuck with my regular size, as there is no stretch in this denim. They have stretched out the perfect amount!

The fit is big so I did size down a size to keep them on the baggy side, I am usually a 26 and reordered the 25. I really like the denim, it's very soft and wears well. They seem to ride up when sitting. This is not a deal breaker seeing as I did purchase these shorts again in another wash.

A 26 waist is normally snug on me so I figured from other comments a 26 would be ideal, but it is still a bit too big around the waist. Otherwise, these are my favourite jean shorts!!

Fits just a tad bigger

Really comfortable. They fit a little on the bigger/baggier side. I range from a size 24 & 25 and got the 24 with still a little room to spare. I’m 115 lbs - athletic build.

Love the fit of these shorts. They're a great length - short but not too short. I'd order true to size for a somewhat looser fit or size down as they do run a little bigger than expected.

Fit is large. Go down 1-2 sizes. For reference, I am 5’4” and 122lbs and ordered a size 26. I could have done size 25 as the 26 is a bit loose but still looks great. I am regularity a 27 in the denim forum jeans.

These shorts are amazing. Comfortable, well-fitting, and well-priced (in comparison to agolde jeans, which are the only other brand that fits my body type for shorts). I highly recommend these shorts to friends as well, and I've only received great feedback. I usually don't write reviews, but these shorts were impeccably review-worthy.

I have two pairs of jeans from denim forum, one in a 23 and one in a 24. I ordered these shorts in a size 23 based off the reviews and when I received them, they were bigger than my size 24 jeans from the same company! when i held them up to the 23 jeans, the waist of the shorts were bigger by about 2.5 inches. Really sad i had to return them cause they are so cute!
