the effortless pant™

I was actually a 4 I would say based on fit . I trusted the size guide and ordered an 8 but 4 would have been more like it . Anyways …I’ll sell them maybe . Looked so bad for my birthday!

I really love it. They look amazing, are Soft and comfy. I size up 2size so the fit is better. The only things is that it's not a real Petite. I am 5.2" and bought the petite length and still had 1 foot too long..... I had to pay for ajustement...

Finally caved and bought these pants and they really are so awesome. Super stylish and easy to dress up and down. I got the regular height and found that it was just right with a pair of heels (I'm 5'2). I like that they don't wrinkle much. I usually wear a size 2 but got a size 0 though I'll still say its true to size cause I think its me not the pants (I lost weight).

Absolutely love the drape of these pants. They truly do look so effortless. Flattering fit and perfect for the office or casually. Fabric is easy to care for as well. I really want the birch colour but it’s see through :( I have these in 3 colours in the crepe material and 1 in the linen - and I want more!! Fit wise, I went with a size 10 for a comfortable fit (29/30 inch waist and 42 inch hips).

I had high hopes for these pants, but they were too long even in the short version. I returned it for the Carrot pants which were a much better fit for my height.

I (5ft11) tried these on in store and loved them but they were too short so I went online and ordered two pairs of these, one in black and one in nomad taupe in the tall length hoping they would fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the pants are still too short which is why I’m giving them 3/5 stars. I should’ve been wary when it said that the tall length was for those 5’7 and over. I’m going to try to get the hem taken down on them to gain a bit of extra length because wide-legged pants look weird if they aren’t floor length. Aritzia, please create another longer length for us long legged ladies so we can enjoy your pants too. :(

I am not a fan of high waisted pants and I know they are really "in" right now. If these were not high waisted I would've loved them.

The pants look great! Love the material. But I think the height recommendation is a bit misleading online. I am 5’8” so I ordered the tall length. It is actually very long. I tried on at home and I stepped on my pants when I walk. Since I don’t wear high heels, I think I have to return them and get regular length instead…

Get a neutral colour or it'll be hard to pair

I love these pants and have in two colours. But, after buying the first pair in my usual size (6), I sized up to 8 for my second. They just fit a bit smaller than my other Aritzia pants. Ideally I would be right in the middle of those two sizes, but overall find it was better to go slightly large than slightly small. No one but me notices, but no one wants to feel like their pants are too tight at the waist! I bought regular and had them hemmed.

They're beautiful but poor quality. The second time I wore mine, (hadn't even washed them yet), the button on the waistband popped off. Not what I would expect for nearly $200. They're intentionally styled to be long, but they're reeeally long if you don't wear them with heels or platforms. Also, if you're athletic or have thighs, I'd recommend sizing up.

I wanted wide leg pants. Perfect for the office.
I went up a size because they run a tiny bit small.

This is my 3rd pair of these pants, and 2nd pair of the crepette material. Absolutely my favorite material and I want more!! I’m 5’4” and a size 26-27 in jeans, and the 2 fit perfectly.

Can wear in the office, can wear on a night out. 10/10

I love these pants!! I got in tall and they are long enough for me. I’m 5’10

The finishing of these pants is nice. However, my first ever pair dropped their hem within a week of wear.(the crepe material). I know how to sew so it was a quick fix for me on my machine, however for that price point that’s not acceptable. I bought my second pair in the suiting material, I found the quality to be much higher. I will say that the Effortless pants fit snug!! No vanity sizing here lol. So I would say that if you want a men’s wear trouser look/ looser waist to go up one size. They are a little snug and there is no give. I normally wear a 10/12 M/L 29/30/31. The 10 is snug/ hugs my bum and the 12 is a more relaxed fit. So just depends what look you want! I’m 5’8 and the regular length is perfect.

This is my second pair of the Effortless pants. They fit perfect and goes great with everything. Can be dressed up or down. Let's not forget the great quality and durability of the pants. Definitely will order more colors. I am 5'4 and ordered a size 2.

I actually got these (wasn't happy with initial purchase for a different trouser, and exchanged for this staple style thinking that because the Effortless is trademarked ™ I couldn't go wrong with them) on a whim because I don't like shopping in-store. Long gone are the days where you just pick it out in your size, buy them, and put them on the next day and admire the cut/fit/materials.
Since I like wearing my trousers interchangeably with heels (different heel lengths) and sometimes sneakers, I temporarily pinned the bottom of the pants up by 1-1.5". By the end of my work day when I took the safety pins off.. the bottoms of the pant legs were covered in lint. Did not have this issue with older Aritzia trouser styles (ie. the Hayley).
Not worth the full price in my opinion especially when this was 100% synthetic fabric.
P.S. I got this in my usual size and the pant rise was suuper high; it hit a good 3-inches above my belly button!
NTS: Going forward I have to try trousers on in-store now and be subjected to excessive fawning or cut-eye.

The pants are beautiful, the material is really nice. The difference between size 14 and 16 is fairly significant in the leg and negligible in the waist. The short fits quite long but like it said in the description it’s meant for heels.

I love the pants - they are gorgeous and flattering. The high rise is tight around my waist (athletic and short). I have them in three colours. I prefer the lo-rise effortless.

Makes me want to sashay in these pants. They flow beautifully and elegantly.

These are the best pants for work. Not only can u dress them up but you can wear them casual too. I would say get your normal size. I got my normal size and still have room to wear a bodysuit etc.

I like the pants, they are flattering and drape nicely. The length of the pants were not as specified. The website said 29 inches for these pants in a size 0 regular and they measured 31.5 inches. I am a hair under 5'3 so was afraid to order the short as it said 27 inches. I am going to try the short length to see if they are also longer than specified so I can avoid alterations. The size guide recommended a 2 for me which I ignored and ordered a 0. Even the 0 is roomy on me and I question whether I could do a 00. Return policy is overly stringent which annoys me especially when a return is due to no fault of my own and misleading info on website.

These pants are amazing; quite possibly the best pants I’ve ever tried on. I ordered sizes 2 and 4 in the short length. I am 5’4 and 25/26 in waist and 36.5 hip and usually wear a 4 in pants (Zara, Asos, Bershka). The 2 fits perfect.

I ordered 6, returned for sz 8 & 10. All 3 sizes too tight in the waist. The effortless pant proportions are not for me.

This is my first pair of effortless pants and they are definitely effortless. I absolutely love the way they look on me they’re super comfortable and I got so many compliments wearing them also, I’m not super tall, but I have very long legs and the tall length without heels is extremely long on me which I love

Wore them twice and the stitching at the bottom completely came undone. Disappointed after spending $150 on pants that I now have to re-sew up myself.

I’m 5’2.5 and 110 lbs. These fit perfectly in the wool version but in the black crepe version it’s a smidge too long. Thinking about getting it hemmed or just wearing more of a platform shoe with it.

highly recommend, just a bit too long

Generally, I like the Effortless pant but cannot understand why you would put a bulky, metal, jeans-like zipper on crepe pants. The zipper doesn't go up and down well and doesn't lay as nicely as a nylon zipper. I love that there are so many fabric/color selections.

I tried and loved the regular length effortless pant in a size 10. If anything, those were a bit roomy in the waist and I could have sized down. Because of that, I felt comfortable buying these in a size 10, even though they were final sale.

To the surprise of probably no woman who has shopped for clothes ever, these size 10s were too tight/small. Now I'm left with pants I can't wear even though I tried on the same style, just in a different length. I'd avoid all final sale items from Aritzia unless you try on in person.

The quality is not the same from a couple years ago and it has a lot of loose threads on the pants. Also keep in mind, the lighter you go with the pants colour, the more see through it’ll be.

So disappointed in these. I absolutely loved them when I bought them and within a few weeks the seams had at the bottom had completely come undone. I went in and had them sent them out to fix them, three weeks later I got the pants back and she said they reinforced all the seams. Now a few months later the same seems have completely come undone again and the pants drag on the ground.

Love these pants- ended up buying in 2 other colors. The fit is amazing and they are super versatile; the cream colour is a bit see through. The crepe fabric holds its structure very well.

It says 5'3" to 5'7". It still is pretty long even with platforms or heels on. The fit is nice overall. The fabric doesn't have any stretch, so when you go by your waist size round up in your measurement. Or do your waist measurement sitting/slouching as well as standing so you can really see what size will be more comfortable.

These are a great pair of high quality pants. They are very flattering and stylish.

I bought my wife the thicker material similar to suit pants. She loves the weight and comfort of these pants. I see her dressing them up and down.
