The Cocoon Coat New - Wool Cashmere

After about 5-6 wears, I notice it had started pilling, which seemed to come on rapidly in the areas of arm friction. It started looking shabby and I could tell other areas of the coat that were starting to go too. I have had another Aritzia wool coat as my main winter coat for four years without a single pill.
I could only think it has to do with the fabric content. The polyamide? Concierge was great about offering an exchange to another coat and I do love this one, so I got the same coat and colour in the version that is pure wool and cashmere and no artificial fibre. My original winter coat was pure wool as well. I actually did not think to look at the fibre content when I bought it and assumed it was all wool .
This coat is so cute on. I love the collar and pocket and it fits amazing. It has shoulders, but is not restricting for driving. I’m 5/7, 142 lbs and got Medium. I can wear thick sweatshirts under it. I am looking forward to my replacement and hopefully no pilling!

Have been wanting one, do miss wool coats with hoods though that’s my only wish for this one!

I have this coat in brown, and just purchased in black as well. The coat is soft, beautiful and keeps me warm in the winter.

Amazing quality and texture. Fit is true to size in upper body and arms. Body is a bit looser which I like. The coat is toasty warm even in cold temperatures.

Bought this coat in black and absolutely love it!! For being in the shorter side this coat fits perfectly. Very much a classy dress coat. Worth the money

I’m somewhere between a medium and a large at Aritzia and sized up in the coat to account for heavy sweaters. So far I’ve worn this twice in very windy cold days in Boston and it’s been fairly warm, great stylish replacement for an old puffer.

As stated in previous reviews, this coat follows same line as other clothing items purchased this last year.
Coat sizing fits larger. The way buttons are constructed makes it very difficult to tie. Plus the button hook gets larger with each use. The material is lovely but for the rest, should have returned .wanted to like but can’t approve.

Heather black looks and feels elegant, very classy!! I'm usually an M (5'1, 134 lbs.) but didn't like the kind of 'oversized' look when I tried it in the store, so I went for an S and it's a PERFECT fit!

All I can say is you can never go wrong with a cocoon coat. Every woman should have this on their closet. It is a functional ,timeless, and elegant piece. You can wear it casually and wear it on formal occasions. This coat is very unique on it’s own right. I bought the cigar colour and I wear it going to work and even going to the grocery. This coat is also quite warm. You can wear this during fall. Even during winter when it hits to -1 to -2 and most especially you can wear this during spring time. All in all.l, This is a good investment.

I am happy that I sized down because it is form fitting but it is a tad bit tight in the armpit area. I'm going to keep it though bc it looks fab.

It is too boxy. It is not cut slim

I love it! It has a gorgeous cashmere feel and looks great. I’m short so it hits just right—more like a coat than a car coat. The color is not bright white, (oatmeal) which I was leery about but it’s more like a bit of an off white. Very happy with it.

The small in this was too snug, whereas the small in the long version had quite a bit of space. They both fit differently. Keeping the long. Great quality but inconsistent sizing.

I tried other popular coats and this one was perfect! It was just a little bit tight around the arm area, but it did not bother me.

This coat is everything!!! The collar is so stunning. It’s slightly oversized so definitely size down! I’m typically a medium and I got a small and even have room in the bum which is never the case for me!

This jacket is beautiful and so comfortable. I ordered a small and find it still a bit on the larger side and I normally order medium so I would say fits a bit large. I get so many compliments on it and I've worn it with jeans and sneakers and I've also dressed it up! Super happy with this purchase!

I originally purchased an XS but they were out of stock so I was sent a small.
I do wish I had the XS as it does feel slightly large around my waist but overall it is a absolutely beautiful coat. Good quality, warm and I love the high neck and hidden buttons and the colour is gorgeous

I love this coat - it’s warm and stylish. It fits properly, but if I ordered again I would get a M so I can wear thick sweaters under it. For me the small is a bit tight when I’m wearing a big sweater.

Love this coat so much! I was eyeing it for a while before finally deciding to buy it online. It's warm and flattering, and the classic camel is a lovely colour. I saw the burnt cedar at the store, and I might buy that one next.

I like this brand of coats and it is my second style from aritzia, I received many compliments wearing it anywhere.
I recommend it even if you are average height as me.

Not for petite girls looks like wearing a bag, returned and purchased the Eiffel coat for a fitted look

While the jacket is a nice cut and fits well, for $300+ it is not very thick or warm. A jacket from A&F costs less and is much thicker in fabric and warmth, making it a better bang for your buck. Was really disappointed.

I must say not only is this stylish but very warm, I was in Michigan with the temperatures being 7 degrees and I was so warm.

Initially purchased size extra small but a bit tight across shoulders, so returned and bought a small in black. Beautiful coat, very elegant, well made. Great length and perfect fit across shoulders. Room for a sweater underneath. Great with a dress and knee high boots or casual with jeans.

Love the colour. How the jacket fits. I’m 5”2 and the shorter version of this jacket works great for my hight. I normally wear a small and the small jacket fits perfect even with a sweater underneath. Definitely recommended

Beautiful coat and the feel on is fantastic. Super pleased although I think I could have possibly gotten a smaller size. I went ahead and just kept the med for days when I have on heavier sweaters underneath.

Love this coat, I've been eyeing it for a while, so I'm glad to finally own it! Size down, I originally got a M thinking I'd need the room to wear layers underneath but it was much too big. I got a size S and it's perfect and still has enough room to layer underneath. I love the hidden buttons, it's such a creative structural design. If you layer it properly you can certainly make this your primary jacket throughout a Toronto winter.

I love this coat so much! As a northeast girl, this has been keeping me surprisingly warm during these months AND I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on it. A GREAT going-out coat, iykyk! As a taller girl, I wish I would have gotten the longer one, but this one still covers my butt, which is mainly what I was looking for.

The fabric is real cashmere wool ,it does keep you absolutely warm at freezing temp of 35 F.

The fabric does attract some static so after everyday use ensure you use a lint roller ..

They have pockets that are long enough to keep you phone .

This is such a sophisticated good looking coat and well made! It looks great dressed up or down with jeans. I’m 5’8, and the small fit me a little bit better than the Medium, but they both worked.

If between sizes I would size up. I initially got the small and it seemed like I could size down but the XS was too tight. Cigar and Camel color are both beautiful but I settled on the camel.

This is such a versatile coat. Can be used to dress up an outfit, or just casual. It's much warmer than it looks! Rated for temps (F) in the teens.

I bought the large size to replace an older version (size medium) of this coat which too tight around my shoulders + bust area but gave me shape around my waist + hips.

When I tried on the large size the shoulder and bust area fit well, but it was WAY too baggy at the waist and hips (even though this coat is supposed to be a 'classic' fit not relaxed).

I ended up returning the coat... very disappointed as this was my favourite wool coat.

I absolutely love this jacket - I just bought myself a smaller size after losing weight, and I am so happy that the quality is the same as my original! I ordered a small but probably could have gone with xs, but I wanted it to be extra roomy for wearing sweaters underneath. It fits well and goes with literally everything. I always get compliments when I wear this coat.
