Awful fit
Fit was unflattering and just off in certain places. I maybe could have gone down a size but I think the weight of the fabric plus a larger size just wasn’t going to make for a flattering combination. As another reviewer said, I’m sure a seamstress could have resolved some of this. But I don’t think it’s a nice enough dress for me to bother investing more time/money.

Beautiful but drapes “heavy”
This is my first slip dress purchase. So I never owned the previous version that didn’t have the satin lining. I can now see what other reviewers are upset about. The second satin layer makes the dress look “heavy”. It looks really thick and doesn’t drape as flattering. When I pulled the inside slip up through the top of the dress while I had it on to see how it looked without the extra layer, it looked much more elegant and pretty. If you wear seamless underwear you won’t have to worry about pantie lines. So I just cut out the second layer and it looks much better now. However I am a skilled sewer and knew what was doing. You could take it to a seamstress and have them remove it, it wouldn’t cost that much extra if you’re committed to it draping nicer.
I did have to size up. I’m 5’9” and 130lbs. I’m typically a small. However with the bias fit, sizing up to a medium allowed for a more flattering look.

Really wish Aritzia still made everything in silk and not cheap satin fabric.

Love the new verision!
Another reviewer didn't like the new double-layered design, but I actually prefer it over the previous single-layer version. I never liked the single-layer slip dresses from Aritzia- they wrinkles more easily and always felt and flowed a bit too cheaply for my taste.
The new double-layered one wrinkles a bit less, which I got in the apricot peach color and has huge improvement in fit as well. Both layers are made from the same material as the dress, and I won't enjoy it as much if the second layer were non satin material. The added weight gives the dress a more luxurious feel, and it hugs curves beautifully. Surprisingly, it's very slimming fit, especially for women with curves. The weightiness makes it flow much more elegantly when you walk, unlike the flimsy single layer slip dress.

Most worn dress!
The Only Slip dress is so versatile and so comfortable to wear! It is silky smooth and feels like nothing on. I have the mini and midi lengths in black and recently added the light birch colour to my collection. Happy to note that the light birch colour is lined! While it changes the “light and airy” aspect of the dress (in comparison to the unlined), it definitely adds a higher quality feel and assures that it’s not see through.

Aritzia/Wilfred has my favourite satin material clothing. Great cut and quality. I always get complemented and asked where I got it from! Now they just need to release it in a true white colour and my collection will be complete!

I absolutely adore my precious Only Slip Midi dresses. They look effortless and classy, and the satin material was thick enough to not be mistaken for the cheap thin sleepwear-style satin. It actually shows off your waist and curves, and has held up fantastic over the years with washes. BUT it appears that the dresses have been updated and are now lined. This is supposedly a good thing because it won't show panty lines as much but now the dress drapes slightly differently than before because the double-layered design weighs it down more. Such a bummer because I personally preferred the old single-layer fit.
