aperature tie-back dress

I got this dress 2 years ago for high school graduation and have worn it many times since. It’s so classy and I love the tie in the back. Definitely great if you do not have the boobs to fill out a dress (like me lol) as the tie allows for a tight or loser fit depending on your size.

i’ve had this dress for years and absolutely love it to dress up and down. my size tends to fluctuate a bit, and the tie back gives it that extra bit of room when needed. i’m back to buy another one because i sat on something sharp and snagged the fabric slightly. it’s barely noticeable but i need another one for backup bc idk what i’d do without it - it’s my go-to! bonus points for the fact that it’s machine washable, i put it in a lingerie bag on cold and hang dry.

the only thing i don’t like about it is that the straps are a bit too long. easy fix at the tailor.

This dress fits like a glove! I'm 5'2" 100 lbs and on the thinner side. I bought this dress in green for a wedding and it fit so perfectly that I could still wear it with a bra and the straps did not show. I bought it in size 00 but tried on the size 0 in another colour. The size 0 fit much better. It was more loose and relaxed. The size 00 still fit but there was less breathing room. I ended up going with size 00 because the size 0 didn't have the colour I needed.

I absolutely love this dress and you can adjust it to your fitting with the tie. Will always recommend this dress. I have the dress in green and it’s not too dressy or too casual as you can make it work for either. It’s my go to

I ordered this in my usual size and one size up since I saw the reviews that it runs small. Definitely get the one size up. I couldn’t zipper the bottom portion of the dress all the way with my usual size. Also, you had to tie the back very hard for it to fit nicely and I found that very hard to do on my own. I ended up returning the dress because I have the 90’s slit midi dress which looks very similar in the front and is easier to wear.

This is the first dress I’ve ever bought from Aritzia, and it did NOT disappoint!

Pros:
- The fit is spot-on (true 00 sizing)
- Color is spot-on (white/ivory)
- Straps are the perfect length & stay in place

Cons:
- Fabric is kinda thin & see-through (Nude no-show underwear is a must for the lighter colors)
- Difficult to tie the back on your own

I bought this dress for my grad and i’m in love. i got a size 0 which is my usually size (i’m between a 0 and a 2) and it fits like a glove. the bow is perfect because it looks sophisticated and girly at the same time. my only complaint is the fabric… the white crepe is stunning and feels like great quality but it is a little see through. nonetheless i decided to keep it because nude underwear does the trick but an extra layer of lining would be appreciated for the price :/

Bought this dress online and ended up returning it. Fabric was so thin that as soon as I tried it, it was already full of wrinkles. Not worth the price

the fabric is so nice and it is well constructed. fits like a glove. i love that the straps stay up i was worried since they aren’t adjustable they would fall off my shoulders but they don’t. you can still wear a bra with this dress because the back tie lines up with the bra back. i love it.

Such good quality and so flattering

I went one size up given all the reviews and found it to be the best fit. My usual size fit but was a little too tight. The lilac colour is a little more lilac in person but stunning nonetheless. Highly recommend this dress - can't wait to wear it!

Wanted to love this dress, but the fit is very snug and the white was very see-through. Also tried to wear without a bra and the fit was super weird.

Fabric feels very cheap and fit is terrible. Immediately returned it. Would not recommend

overall was good but the back was hard to tie

This is not the dress for you if you have TNA…find something else. Regret this purchase. I am a size 10 and ordered 12 and found it very short.

I got it during sale season so didn’t have much choice of color. I ended up getting it in subtle mint but it’s not best for my skin tone. It was brighter than I thought. Despite all of that, the dress is really cute and elegant. Would recommend get it in darker colors tho.

I love the dress and wish it would fit, but there's not enough room in my hips. I also have a larger bum and that makes the dress too short.
Please make an altered version

Super simple and cute! A little big, but it can be tied tight. I originally got the orange but it came as a beige so I returned it for the blue. Very pretty!

Definitely would recommend this dress. The quality is amazing!

Things I Love: (1) It's double lined so totally doable without a bra. (2) The tie-back makes it adjustable to your size. (3) For a "mini" dress, it feels classy -- for example, works perfectly for a dinner with your partner's parents.

Not flattering on my skin tone and body type (130lbs), hard to tie back and make it look nice imo.

It’s a great warm weather dress. Good for brunch or a date. I’m 5’7 and usually a 4 or 6 at Aritzia - 6 in most dresses - but I sized to 4 and found it was a nicer fit. There’s a zipper on the back and you can tie the bow to your preferred tightness.

This is the perfect summer dress! I am usually in between a S and M and the 6 fit me perfectly. I love that the top is tied (adjustable) because I have a larger bust but the waist fits me perfectly (26"). The material is also really nice, the white is not see through at all so a bra is not necessary. Would definitely recommend!

For the right person it’s great. I couldn’t tie it tight enough around the bust. And the straps would have needed to be 2” shorter which is easy enough to tack down. But it was too tight on my stomach to be really wearable. Or past 3pm lol. I ordered the 4. I ordered the 6 last year when it was the only size left and it was more than a size too big all over. Sad face.
